 Sachin tendulkar Born on 24 April 1973 in a Marathi Brahmin family of Rajapur, Sachin was named by his father Ramesh Tendulkar after his favorite musician Sachin Dev Burman. His elder brother Ajit Tendulkar encouraged him to play cricket. Sachin also has a brother Nitin Tendulkar and a sister Savitai Tendulkar. In 1995, Sachin Tendulkar was married to Anjali Tendulkar. Sachin has two children - Sara and Arjun.

Sachin took his education at Shardashram Vidyamandir. It was there that he started his cricketing career under the guidance of a coach (coach) Ramakant Achrekar. To become a fast bowler, he took M.R.F. Pace Foundation's practice program but there fast bowling coach Dennis Lillee asked him to concentrate completely on his batting.

• 2014 – Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award.
